MONFRAGÜE





Monfragüe' s National Park is one of 14 National Parks that exist in Spain. He is in the North of the providence of Cáceres, and is the first National Park of Extremadura.



It stands out for the variety of birds, the typical Extremaduran dehesas, the Mediterranean forests and rocks as impressive as "El salto Del Gitano" among other things.





In this rock of big dimensions that enters the river Tiétar it is overflow by the diverse only birds in Europe, for example:


-The Tawny vulture: It is the most abundant of the zone,characterizez by his great lock in the base of the neck.

-The Black Vulture: It is the bird more big of Europe for his size.











-Alimoche: The young are done, but the adults are characterized by his head and yellow leg, white body, white wings with gray and black ends and white and broad tail. They measure 85 centimeters.
-Imperial Iberian Eagle: major lad of the Mediterranean forest just there are 200 pairs of this bird of which there are 12 in Monfragüe.



In the park not only we can find birds, but also
we can see The Iberian Lynx, another species on Danger of extinction.



In the Natural Park of Monfragüe, only there is a village, "Villarreal de San Carlos". It's was founded by Carlos III, in the 18th century, by the travelers had got protection to the royal guard. And, in had been celebrated the FIO( International fair of oenithological tourism). This fair is very important, It's being oriented to develop the
tourism in Extremadura, especially in Monfragüe, because this is one the most important activities than offer the park. You could find national or international "stands",too.
